Nevada City Elks RV Campground – Terms & Conditions
Welcome! We’re glad you’re here. Our campground is available to all Elks members in good standing. Please review these rules to help keep our campground safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone.
General Rules
One RV per Site: Only one RV or trailer allowed per campsite.
RV Condition: Must be in good working order, clean, and insured.
Parking: Park only in designated areas. Don’t park on empty sites or roadways. Overflow parking is available in the upper lot near the entrance.
Speed Limit: 5 MPH throughout the campground and parking areas.
Check-In/Out: Check-in after 12:00pm. Check-out before 11:00am.
Age to Book: You must be at least 21 years old to reserve a site.
Safety & Courtesy
Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM.
Noise: Keep music and noise to a minimum at all times.
Supervision: Children under 10 must be supervised at all times. Helmets required for bikes, skates, scooters (CA law).
Speeding, unruly behavior, or endangering others = immediate removal.
Campsite & Environment
No outdoor fires.
No cutting or damaging trees/vegetation.
No modifications: No digging, decks, hard piping, or altering your site.
Keep it clean: No littering. Use dumpsters for trash. Leave your site as you found it.
No outside clothing racks.
Dump Station
The dump station is available to our guests.
Use of the dump station is included in your rental fee.
Pets
Leash required at all times (even at your site unless securely fenced).
Vaccinations required.
No unattended pets.
Disruptive or aggressive pets may be asked to be removed or contained.
Guests & Visitors
Reservation covers only the number of guests booked.
Extra guests require advance approval and may incur fees.
Facilities & Amenities
Follow posted rules for common areas, and all amenities.
No commercial activity or soliciting without written permission.
Alcohol, Drugs & Prohibited Items
Illegal drugs are prohibited.
Alcohol must be consumed responsibly at your site.
No fireworks, hazardous materials, or explosives.
Firearms/weapons: Must remain in your RV. No use or display anywhere on property.
Liability & Emergencies
You’re responsible for damage/injury caused by yourself, your guests, children, or pets.
Campground not responsible for lost/stolen items or injuries. Lock up valuables.
In emergencies, follow posted procedures and staff directions.
Payments, Refunds & Cancellations
Full payment due at booking.
Refunds: No refunds for weather, early departure, evictions, or acts of nature. See full cancellation policy for details.
No-shows: Reservation held until noon after your scheduled arrival. After that, reservation and funds are forfeited.
Payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AmEx.
Reservation credit: Available, valid for one year from issue.
Pricing may change; notice will be given.
Other Important Policies
All RV Rigs/Campers/Trailers must be drivable/towable by owner (not commercial drivers).
Management reserves the right to refuse service, evict guests, or change rules as needed. Eviction = permanent ban from property.
No waiver: Not enforcing a rule now doesn’t mean we can’t later.
Weather Conditions:
Snow – While main highway will be regularly plowed for accessibility, the Nevada City Elks parking lot is not plowed.
Natural Disasters – A severe weather warning (blizzard, hurricane, storm, earthquake) is announced in the camp area within 48 hours of reservation. Your payment will be refunded or your reservation can be changed to a different date.
Mandatory evacuation is declared, causing prolonged closure of the campground. Your reservation fee will be refunded.
